PURSUANT to WRFL By-laws, the league’s Independent Hearing Committee (IHC) sat last Thursday evening (July 13) and heard a charge of misconduct against Yarraville Seddon FC and Newport Power FC.

The respective charges stemmed from the Division 2 senior match on Saturday July 8 involving the aforementioned clubs that was ultimately abandoned due to player behaviour.

The IHC resolved that no premiership points would be awarded from the match. The IHC also applied undisclosed fines to both clubs.

The league has no further public comment in regard to this matter.
