Coming up on the 10th of March AFL Northern Rivers Juniors and AFLQ Staff will be coordinating the first Junior Football umpire Program of the season. This is a great opportunity for juniors that would like to pursue Umpiring as well as their football development.
The Junior Football Umpire Program (JFUP) involves all umpire training, education and ongoing support throughout the season.
Additionally, With the new addition of the U/16’s competition in 2015, AFLNRJ will see the need for more experienced umpires of age capable of officiated football at an older level.
In light of this, AFLQ and AFLNRJ will be running a ‘’Club Umpires Course’’ also on the 10th of March where the League will ask two adults/parents from each club to attend.
These course participants will be used as ‘back up’ Umpires through the 16s if there is a short fall to officiate the older age groups.
Both these Courses will be held at the Byorn Regional Sport and Cultural Complex.
For any more additional information please contact AFLNRJ Umpire Coach Tony Hunter
