Northern Rivers Players Grid Game Stars

Metricon Grid Game

56 excited young players made their way below the stands 20 minutes into the first quarter were they changed into their Auskick playing apparel and were prepared by our wonderful team of volunteers.

The half time siren came around and the eager bunch ran out onto the stadium in single file.

Byron Bay, Ballina and Casino made up one U8s game whilst the other comprised of Lismore and Tweed Coast. The Northern Rivers U10s team made up the final grid where they played Park Ridge from Brisbane.

AFLQ Regional Manager Trent Ryan said the afternoon was a huge success with all kids and parents thoroughly enjoying this valued experience.

Once again, a big thankyou to all parent helpers, umpires and volunteers to ensure the games ran smoothly.

Finally, AFLNRJ U8 parents don’t forget Game Two of the Super 8s Gala days is this Sunday at Bangalow and Brunswick Valley starting at 9am. Please see you Club for details.
