Thunderbolts Aiming to finish on a High

By Matt Hughes (NRL Vic Media)

This Saturday, the Victoria Thunderbolts under 20s play their final match of the season against the Canterbury Bulldogs at Belmore Oval. They will be looking to bounce back from a tough month of football where they three of their four losses came by an average margin of 9 points.

The Thunderbolts are guaranteed a 12th placed finish regardless of the result, however a win against the Bulldogs will be a great way to finish  a season that has been full of promise and has included three wins and three draws.

Although Canterbury hold a superior ladder position (seventh) Victoria will go in confident that they can compete, after they drew 18-all with them in round 18. In that game halfback Trent Toelau was the standout, crossing for two tries.

The side will be close to full-strength, with no injuries or outs from last week’s game.

The match kicks off at 3pm.
