Following the women will be the NRL Victoria Under 16 side taking on the Riverina Under 16 side, with the Victorian side being a developmental squad, this clash will be one of a few opportunities for the squad to compete and grow their skills in 2018.

The first Thunderbolts side kicks off at 2:15pm, when the Victoria Thunderbolts 18’s run out against the Riverina Under 18 side. They will be preparing for another Mal Meninga Cup season in 2018 and will follow the Riverina trial with one more prior to the season taking on the Victoria Thunderbolts 20s reserves on Saturday 24th February.

The final match scheduled for the day is the Victoria Thunderbolts 20’s taking on the Riverina Under 23’s squad. The Victoria Thunderbolts 20’s side is gearing up for a long season in the Hastings Deering Colts competition. The Thunderbolts 20’s side will follow the Riverina trial with two more trial matches prior to the beginning of the season. On Friday 16th February, the 20’s will host Canberra Region Under 23’s side at AAMI Park as a curtain raiser to the World Club Challenge between Melbourne Storm and English Super League side Leeds Rhinos. The following weekend will see the boys travel to Sydney to take on the Brothers Penrith Rugby League Club Sydney Shield team on Sunday 25th February.
