Gosch’s Paddock Master’s Day

By Jayden Cameron

This Sunday marks another massive day in the NRL Victoria Calendar, beginning with a master’s competition as well as a special exhibition game, with the best women in both the East and West kicking off.

Gosch’s Paddock will be filled with fun for the whole family, from great football to a petting zoo and a jumping castle for the young ones.

The Gala Day for both men and women is important for the growth of Rugby League in Victoria, especially at a grass roots level.

These events allow for all supporters of our game to be able to social side as well as exposing our young children to the game.

However, the action doesn’t stop here on Sunday, with the Grand Final of the NRL VIC 9’s kicking off at 12:50pm. It shapes as a real nail-biter, with another chapter set to be added to the Casey v Werribee rivalry. They are currently situated first and second respectively in the First Grade competition, and it could shape as a preview for the First Grade Premiership further in the year.

This will be the curtain raiser to a monster game in the NRL, with Melbourne Storm skipper, Cameron Smith, stepping out for his 350th game against the Manly Sea Eagles.

The Gosch’s Paddock Gala Day will begin at 10:00am, with Werribee playing Pakenham, while in the other matchup, it will be Altona Roosters up against the Eastern Raptors.
