NRL Launch New Junior League Game Models

NRL Victoria has been involved in a pilot trial program over the past two seasons for junior league competitions from U6's to U12's. This included game playing conditions being modified for these age groups, some of these modifications include reducing the field size, amending the game time and introducing bibs for the dummy half/first receiver for example.

After a review of the trial program in Victoria (and other areas), as well as a full participation review process conducted by the NRL, it was decided that these law modifications would be rolled out nationally.

This is very exciting for the game as these laws aim to enhance the enjoyment, and age appropriate skill development of our youngest players.

See the attached image with this article that shows the laws for each junior league age group.
