SAF COMPETITION RULES - SEPTEMBER 2013

GENERAL

  • Shooting practice at your own time when the range is open.
  • Competition will start at 1420 - Members only can take part
  • You will be required to pay a $2.00 competition fee to the Competition Administrator – The fee is for the purpose of prizes that will accompany the trophy. Refer below for late entry. You will be required to pay a $0.50 fee for your signed paper target from the Competition Administrator.

 

COMPETITION RULES

  • The Competition Administrator has the final say.
  • This competition is a timed variable shooting position shot competition - .22LR calibre pistol and rifle and full bore pistol only.
  • You will only have 10 shots per discipline which you will need to complete in the allocated timeframe. The 10 rounds of 22LR pistol, 10 rounds of 22LR rifle and 10 rounds of Full Bore pistol to be used for the competition is to be checked and approved by the range master before loading into the firearm.
  • If there is any stoppage while firing due to misfire or jam, the timer will be halted whilst the firearm is cleared. Timing will recommence when the shooter is ready, on a count of 3
  • If any target has less than 10 shots registered when time is up, it still qualifies but there will be no further shots allowed. If any target has more than 10 shots registered, the shooter may elect shoot another 10 rounds but all within the remaining timeframe or alternatively may elect to have the highest point shot deducted or otherwise the shooter is disqualified. The Competition Administrator has the final say.
  • There will be no changes to the program once the competition has commenced, unless unforeseen circumstances dictate such as weather or Military. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made
  • Preshooting and late shooting will not be allowed to ensure fairness as weather, wind and time will vary shooting conditions.
  • Points accumulated over the month for the various events will be totalled to determine the best shooter of the month, followed up by 1st and 2nd runner up.
  • Shooters who are unable to adopt the kneeling or sitting position may opt for standing.
  • Shooters who are unable to attend competition on a given Saturday may complete the event on another Saturday within the shooting month but will be penalised -5 points per late event as well as a penalty fee of $2.00 per late event.
