In what was for many their first experience of hockey in a competitive environment, the tournament was hailed a great success, with a four team knockout phase leading to the exciting finale between the tournaments highest scoring teams the Wan Smol Bag X- boys and the Malapoa Mazon.
The team from Malapoa showed how the sport of hockey in Vanuatu has grown in recent years, fielding a highly competitive team made up of youth who have been involved in the weekly hockey clinics held by the VHF at Malapoa College.
