some of the participants
Last Thursday afternoon the Vanuatu Hockey Federation held a clinic to introduce the sport of hockey to the kids of Mele. The clinic was a success with 32 participants learning the fundamental skills such as passing, dribbling and trapping as well as the basic rules of this fun and fast-growing sport.

The clinic was held on the new basketball court that was presented to the community of Mele by the Minister for Youth and Sport, Hon. Roro Sambo, last year. It was such a success that hockey games will take place there every Monday afternoon from 4pm so if you would like to try this exciting new sport come along and join in the fun.
