The Canoe Association of Palau members and all paddlers are extremely proud of Marina Toribiong for making her presence at the 2016 RIO Olympic Games with top world paddlers in the K1 200m and 500m sprints. Marina started her big preparation for these two races about two years already. She's received numerous scholarships from International Canoe Federation (ICF) to trainng camps around the world to prepare her to the Olympics.
Marina is a strong paddler and was raised as a young paddler amongst the top paddlers of Palau such as her mom Debbie Toribiong, who has represented Palau in many regional events and a champion in the outrigger canoeing program. Marina has a full strong support from her family, especially her Mom Debbie, her Palau family, her family in the states, her DAD and the whole Republic of Palau sports community and family. Marina will paddle on Monday August 15 at 9am on the 200m sprint and again on Wednesday August 17th on the 500m sprint K1. Our best wishes to Marina and paddle hard! We are with you all the way!
