Mesang Red Storm, N17 squad down foes in IP&E ABL

Team Mesang Red Storm and National 17 and under squad romped with separate victories against foes in the ongoing 2012-2013 season of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Mesang Red Storm collected their second straight win at the expense of team Ranchers, 61-53. Tats paced Mesang Red Storm with 18 points while teammate Franky Kuchad chipped in 12 as they now sport a 2-0 record in the team standings.

On the other hand, Jackson topscored for the Ranchers with 10 markers as they suffered their second loss for a 0-2 start of the season.

In the other game, Nationals 17 and under squad managed to bounce off from their loss to beat the Airwaves, 98-71. Marvic Ngchar and Edward Baysa led the scoring chores for the Nationals with 22 baskets, respectively as they now take a 1-1 card while Gino Smau tallied 25 points for the Airwaves as they also sport a 0-2 tally.

In other games, Melngoes won over Peches, 90-53; Papago Smooth beat Ididers, 74-54; Blue Shark downed Mercury Optimax, 76-64; Aimeliik Rainers defeated Bullets, 64-61; Melekeok Salty Boys won over Matakui, 20-0; and Meda drubbed Aimeliik Rainers, 82-39.

Games will resume tonight with Nationals 17 and under verus Stingers at 6 p.m. while Breakers will face Peches in the main game at 7:30 p.m.

Monday night games will have Ksau Imaging Solutions against Bullets at 6 p.m. as Matakui will face Papago Smooth at 7:30 p.m. while Ididers will take on Mercury Optimax in the main game at 9 p.m.
