ABL playoffs: Surangel Kings down Ngerkesoaol, 74-64

Surangel Kings bested Ngerkesoal, 74-64 to win their best of three playoff series, Wednesday night in the ongoing 2012 season of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League (ABL) at the Palau National gym.

The Kings used a fourth quarter rally to keep their hopes alive going into the sweet 16 round of the tournament. The Kings outplayed Ngerkesoaol with a 28-19 output to score the win.

Arnold Undencimo fired up with 24 baskets while teammate Reid Una Rikrik added 17 as they closed their series with a 2-1 count. Vise Demei and Kent Moore led the scoring chores for Ngerkesoaol with 21 and 20, respectively.

In other games, Airwaves won over PCC Mesekiu, 83-66; Nationals beat Ngermid Rivals, 87-86; Cardinals defeated On Fire, 73-68; Airwaves routed PCC Mesekiu, 80-67; Ikelauans bested B.O.G., 59-50.

Games resume tonight starting at 6 p.m. while the sweet 16 round will start on Monday.
