Natabua in U15 semifinal

Western giant Natabua High School U15 girl’s team books a semifinal spot against Yat Sen Secondary School in the Fiji Secondary School Twisties Basketball championship at the Vodafone Arena today.

They defeated International 19-12 to cement their spot in the playoffs. In another semifinal clash International Secondary School takes on LDS.

Basketball Fiji development officer Mark Seccombe said only the best team would advance into the final tomorrow.

“This is a knockout stage for all teams and everything is up for grabs.”

He said anything can happen on the field. Seccombe said the best defensive team can be crowned with a final spot.

Results: Girls-U15: LDS 24 St Joseph 15, SGS WBF over LBSS, Natabua 19 International 12, U17: Yat Sen 21 GHS 18, LDS 41 SGS 23, U19: Yat Sen 33 LDS 43, St Joseph 33 LBSS 13. Boys U15: Yat Sen 31 MBHS 14, U17: LBSS 3 Natabua 49, MBHS A 33 GHS 24, Indian College 32 Yat Sen 21, Edupia 30 LDS 50, U19: LBSS WBF over LDS.
