SUVA (FIBA U18 Oceania Championship) – Fiji secured their first win of the tournament on day two of competition, beating Tahiti 56-29.
Fiji led from start to finish in what was a dominant display. Leaving head coach Esala Banuve (Sonny) proud of his team’s efforts....

SUVA (FIBA U18 Oceania Championships) – The host nation Fiji registered their first victory on day two of competition against a struggling Tahiti. The Fijians led for the majority of the game, which at one point blew out to a 25 point lead. The final score reading 65-49.

Fiji’s Colin Lal was instrumental in the victory with 21 points, 6 boards, 2 assists and 6 steals. Lal has led the way so far

Team Fiji: Performance at FIBA U18 Oceania Basketball Championships

At the opening day for the FIBA U18 Oceania Basketball Championships, both the Fijian Men and Women’s team failed to secure victory against Guam 51 – 64 and against Samoa 26 – 47.

Basketball Fiji Chief Operations Officer, Laisiasa Puamau says that while the first games for both team did not provide a win, it did expose areas that the coaches will focus.....
