About Us
South East Queensland Football (SEQ Football) is a social football competition established in 2011.
SEQ Football is based in the southern suburbs of Brisbane, and also has teams from Logan and the Gold Coast Regions. SEQ Football is contested on a Friday night only.
SEQ Football values and promotes respect and good sportsmanship above a winning at all costs mentality, and has adapted a range of modified rules to assist in the promotion of this ethos. These rules include 40 minute halves, a 5 minute half time break, no slide tackle rule, harsher penalties for send off offences, and a policy that all teams must re-apply each season to SEQ Football based on their previous season's commitment to the competition's ethos.
Teams of friends are able to join and play football outdoors at central locations amongst a community of like minded people.
SEQ Football's winter season is contested over Term 2 and Term 3 of the school year.
All players must register to the FFA player registration database in MyFootballClub and are covered by the National FFA Player Accident Insurance program.
