2018 Fast Futsal is now open for registration.
The finals of our 2017 Summer Season of Futsal are fast approaching. Next week will see the top 2 teams on the leader board play off against each other for bragging rights and also the remainder of the teams in the comp playing games. It is going to be an awesome last week of the 2017 season with not many points between some of the teams. Some head down and show your support.
The winners and runners up will not only walk away with bragging rights but they will also receive a medal to proudly hang around their necks- BE SURE TO TAKE TEAM PHOTOS!!
Please ensure that you have returned the Nestle Chocolate fundraising money no later than Firday 8th of December. A huge thank you to those families and local business's that have supported this major fundraiser for the club. Once money is tallied i will inform everyone of how well we have done. As some people wished not to take a chocolate box they instead opted to make a small donation which was a wonderful gesture, so THANK YOU ALL!! Please remember that when making payment we do not have eftpos facilities.
2018 Fast Futsal- commences Term 1 of school for a 6 week period (22 january- 2 March). All teams will be re-entered back into the competition and a draw will be completed. Please notify me ASAP if your team will not be returning in the new year. So far i am yet to hear of anyone not returning which is fantastic :)
Payment for this season is $48.00 game fees only. Please go to www.myfootballclub.com.au and re register under the package of "FAST FUTSAL". If payment has not been received the day before scheduled games players are unable to take the court.
A few clubs have mentioned that they use Futsal not only for a fun social exercise for their teams but they also use the game time as a valuable training tool. There is no better way to get better skills than to have the ball constantly at your feet- meaning more touches. I would like to put an expression of interest out there to clubs and teams to enter a team into a 10 week social winter comp from April. Current players are covered under their insurance until June so it will be simply games fees to be paid of $80.00.
FINALLY- Thank you to every one of our referees, players, and parents. Without all of you supporting our wonderful club Futsal would not run as smoothly as it does. We really are starting to cement our name in the region and players are really starting to develop further within the game.

After a successful day at the Bunnings Community Fundraiser a few weeks back we are now moving forward to another fundraising event by the ways of a chocolate drive J
ALL registered players will receive as a minimum 1 x box of Nestle chocolates to sell over a 2 week period. All chocolates must be sold in its entirety for the club to reap the rewards. Partially sold boxes cannot be returned or refunded. Boxes sell for $60.00 as a whole OR 3 chocolates for $2.00.We all love chocolate right?
Our target is to raise $3400- with every registered player (seniors this includes you ) selling their box we have reached our target!!
What are we fundraising for this round?
CQ Futsal Club polo shirts for all of our registered players, coaches and volunteers to proudly wear out and about in the community.
Why are we fundraising?
Simple, to give back to our players within our club and what better way to help a person to feel empowered than to allow them to help raise the funds needed for a cause that will benefit them?
We have so many great opportunities to offer our players and parents within our club but like all sports it comes at a cost. Fundraising with our club assists us in being able to purchase much needed equipment, subsidised coaching and referee courses, purchase of rep kits etc but we can’t do all these positive things without our supportive parents and a hard working committee.
Kristy Anderson has very kindly put her hand up to be head of the fundraising committee. I thank her for taking the time to assisting the club in doing so. Kristy herself has 2 junior players who have played with CQ Futsal club for the past few years and her family has always been one of the first ones to offer assistance with anything that the club is taking part in. We are very lucky to have parents like this in the club J Thank you Kristy!

The Craig Foster International Cup is the marquee event in the Queensland Futsal Calender.
The Tounament is a representative regional competition with reprentative teams from South East Queensland and Far North NSW competing to see which Association will be crowned as the “Craig Foster Cup” Champions.
The tournament is aimed at the best futsal players from each FFA Futsal Association in the following age groups:
Boys: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, Youth(u19)
Girls: 12, 14, 16
Open Age: Men, Women, AWD
Queensland Futsal League are now extending invitations to all FFA registered clubs/regions throughout Australia & New Zealand and Pacific Islands to participate in this elite competition.
The “Craig Foster International” Trophy is awarded to the Region/ Club that accumulates the most points overall based on a point allocation system throughout the competition.
Teams are also awarded trophies and medals upon becoming “Champions/Runners up” in their respective groups.
New 2017/18 Futsal Tryouts will need to be taken place to form teams, information on this tournament and others will be at Wednesday nights meeting
CQ Futsal Club has just received word that 2x sponsors have come on board to assist with our FQ Coaching Course scheduled for 13th August 9.00am-4.00pm.

With the development of the Rocky rep sides now in place these coaches will have a very important role to play within our club and the growth of the game. In September school holidays the rep teams travel to Bundy for round 2 of matches. There will be opportunities to run some coaching sessions in the lead up to these games which will give the coaches some valuable experience prior to the commencement of our local futsal season.

Following on from our successful Junior Summer Comp, we have now opened up and are taking team nominations for a SENIOR FUTSAL SOCIAL COMPETITION(16+) based in Rockhampton which will run a duration of 10 weeks. The emphasis on this comp is SOCIAL so we have included the over 35’s in this comp, so dust off the joggers and futsal boots! Yes ladies, you are included in this comp and I am sure you will give the boys a run for their money!
I take great pride in being able to deliver a smooth and hassle free competition with clear communication between all team coordinators and players with as much notice as possible given in the event of forfeits etc. All information regarding games will be released weekly via, email, Facebook and our CQ Futsal Club website by Friday of each week.
As we have our own venue, all games will be played at this facility and depending on teams that are submitted it may be required that we play over 2 nights(over 35’s you may get your own night).
As our club is affiliated through Football Queensland, there are pathways for teams to further their game by attending state titles etc. One of our junior players was lucky enough to have been chosen to attend and play with Bundaberg Futsal at the National titles in Sydney over the Christmas break.

What a fantastic way to wrap up the Summer Season Of Futsal here at CQ Futsal Club!
I would like to congratulate all our teams who finished the season and those that came away as division winners. To our runners up, you have not gone un-noticed. The games were tight right until the end with even a penalty shoot out so congratualtions for putting up a good fight until the end.
A special mention must go out to our Referee coordinator David Perna. David volunteers his time to schedule our qualified referees for our matches. David has been a book of knowledege this season and has made sure that the Futsal Laws of the game has been uphelded. By doing so, when our Rep teams especially go away to play in titles we won't be left behind. Regular important rules had been uploaded to the website for not only players but also parents to also understand the laws.

iwould hope that you would all agree that our referees have done a fantastic job of our games. Prior to the beginning of the season, Football Central Queensland invested in the referees for the future development of Futsal In Rockhampton. Our refs spent a whole weekend with Football Queensland and they came out the other end as fully qualified Futsal Referees. It is opportunites just like this that we are proud to be able to offer and deliever. Without or referees we have no games.
Ty, Bailey, Johno and Toby- Thank you for your dedication and professionalism in refereeing this season.
So, my parting words for now are- we have had a very successful season with 178 registered players playing across 23 teams and developed 5 Representative Teams. I do hope that players and parents have enjoyed the games that are displayed each week and judging by the feedback from players we look forward to having you all back in the next Summer Season of Futsal.
We are now looking at running the winter season and targeting the SENIOR PLAYERS aged 16+.

Welcome everyone to our CQ Futsal Club website. Details of draws including results and ladders will be posted regularly as well as news items of interest. Draws can be found at the Fixtures tab above while keep an eye out for ladders and other updates as we get off and running.
Recently we launched our new club with a media launch at the YWCA in Rockhampton. The following week we ran some trial games to 'test the waters' and then on Tuesday evening the U10 competition kicked-off the Futsal season proper.
