Prima Smallgoods

Prima Smallgoods has once again come to the assistance of Athletics PNG by supporting groups of National Squad athletes training in PNG with a fortnightly donation of food products. Athletics PNG Secretary Philip Rehder said that through a partnership arrangement with the National Sports Institute, there were currently eight national squad athletes training in Goroka and APNG has taken on the responsibility of feeding the athletes. A smaller group is based in Lae said Rehder who thanked Prima through its National Sales and Marketing Manager Kola Geri for the company’s support. Our domestic scholarship programme has worked well for us over the years added Rehder and with the Pacific Games in Samoa only a little over 15 months away it is very important that we keep our athletes focussed. Many of the athletes are attending school full time, including Abel Siune, Simbai Kaspar, Jenny Albert and Leonie Beu who are attending Goroka Grammar School. Coach Anton Lui is supervising the athletes under the direction of APNG Development Officer Dior Lowry.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
