World Athletic Day Part 2 - Middle School

Track & Field continued to dominate the weekend with the GDOE middle school league taking over the Leo Palace track on Saturday. GTFA sponsored the 2nd part of athletic day by sponsoring the middle school individual championship meet. WAD part one was earlier in the month with the high school athletes doing a pre season meet.more

Four National Team Members Help JFK win both Boys and Girls Title

The John F. Kennedy Islanders swept the 2014 IIAAG All Island track and field championships by winning both boys and girls team titles Friday evening at Leo Palace.

KUAM / AK Trick or Treat 5k

KUAM'S Halloween Trick or Treat 2K and 5K saw over 900 runners come out and support the event. This year's run was held at the AK Megalot in Tamuning. The race started and ended at AK. Runners came dressed in costumes for a chance to win great prizes in the costume contest. There were games for the kids and goodie bags given out to the first 750 finishers.more

API “One Day SUMMARY

Shanghai American School-Pudong took gold in the girls team race, American School in Japan earned the boys gold, Seisen/St.Mary’s grabbed the relay gold and ASIJ edged the Seisen/St.Mary’s team for the overall championship, with Seoul Foreign School third. International School of Beijing was fourth, John F. Kennedy fifth and Christian Academy in Japan sixth (tie broken with Yongsan Internationalmore

2013 Track and Field Championship rescheduled to accommodate local middle school track season and the Oceania Championship athletes. All GTFA meets, Guam HS & MS meets, and approved international/national meets are qualifier for all National Team events.more

Guam KID'S ATHLETICS

Guam hosted our first Kid's Athletics with the help of our National Athletes and volunteers from Simon Sanchez HS track team, George Washington HS track team and Guahan Athletics.  We hope to see everyone in our next event.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Guam Track & Field Association exists to:

  1. Develop the framework for athletes to participate competitively at international and regional events.
  2. Promote the development of new athletes through local, developmental, and regional events.
  3. Assist in the development of coaching expertise on Guam to raise the performance level of Athletics.
  4. Develop officiating in the sport of Track & Field to maintain expertise for professionally managed track, cross-country, and road race events.
