Playing Down Exemption Application

OUT of AGE PERMITS            

Clubs required to apply annually for any out of age permits on prescribed FORM

Board will consider all applications on merit.

  • Consideration Guidelines.
  • DOB of player (within 3 month window)
  • School cohort – (grade)
  • Physical capacity or disability
  • Team numbers
  • Number of teams in division
  • Availability of  another team
  • Compassionate

9.13.4            Any player whose request for dispensation is approved (the permitted Player) must play in the   next lowest Competition Age Group for the permitted player, or as provided for by the STJFL in its approval of the application. 

If there is more than one division in that Competition Age Group, the permitted player must play in the highest division in the Competition Age Group.  

9.13.5            A permitted player is ineligible to win any STJFL Age Group Best & Fairest Award or to play representative football at the lower division.

9.13.6              STJFL may revoke the permission granted at any time. 

  (a) Any player suspended will have permission revoked immediately.

9.13.7            Permission under this By-law is for the Season in which the permission is granted to the applicant club only.
