Pacific Women's Sports Leadership Program

Badminton was represented at last week’s Pacific Women’s Sports Leadership Program through Tonga’s Shuttle Time Coordinator Peti Tupouniua and Samoa’s revivalist Nynette Sass.

The week long program took place in Port Moresby, PNG  - a joint initiative by Cricket Australia, Netball Australia and the International Cricket Council, funded through the Australian Government's Pacific Sports Partnerships Innovation Funding.

It brought together female leaders from 13 different sporting organisations and 6 countries (Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Nauru, Samoa, Vanuatu and Tonga) to develop their leadership skills through sport, to directly impact on the lives of young women and girls in their communities.

Peti features in this news video too.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
