Guam Features on Badminton Unlimited

This week's edition of Badminton Unlimited (108) features Guam National Badminton Federation, including their recent development visit by coach Ian Piencenaves and strides they are making with the BWF Shuttle Time Schools Badminton Program.

In December Guam Badminton hosted Philippines and Badminton Asia Development Officer, Ian Piencenaves for a two week development visit.  Ian and GNBF President Sandra Low visited many schools on Guam delivering Shuttle Time to students and teachers.  They also made some exciting steps with badminton being a Middle School inter-scholastic sport from January 2017, and possibility of Shuttle Time on the curriculum at the University of Guam in the future.

Ian also delivered a Shuttle Time Teacher course, as well as training for coaches and national team players.

The Guam national team will be making their international debut when they compete at the upcoming Oceania Team Championships in Auckland, New Zealand next month.
