Notice is hereby given that the 27th Annual General Meeting of Badminton Oceania will be held in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia on Friday 14 February 2014 at 10.00am during the Oceania Championships.
1. Delegate & Airfare Subsidy
Each member country can be represented by two delegates having one vote. There will be a subsidy of NZD$400 to assist one delegate to attend the AGM. Contact Badminton Oceania office for more information.
2. Notice of Motions & Amendments to Constitution
Notice in writing of all motions for consideration at the AGM and proposed amendments to the constitution must be sent to the Oceania Office by 31 December 2013 then the Chief Operating Officer will copy such notices twenty one days before, no later than 24 January 2014 to each Member Country.
3. Election of Officers – 5 positions available
Nominations are required for Officers as follows:
- President nominations and election required
Current President has served one term of two years and is eligible if elected to serve another term (Rule 17.2)
- Deputy President nominations and election required
Current Deputy President has served one term of two years and is eligible if elected to serve another term (Rule 17.2)
- Badminton Oceania Executive Members
Nominations are required for three (3) Board Members. Badminton Oceania Board members hold office for a period of 2 years (Rule 18.3).
Three Executive Members need to be elected for a 2 year term.
Those finishing by rotation are Merlie Tolentino (Northern Marianas), Leody Vainikolo (Tonga) and Mathieu Dufermon (New Caledonia)
Members of the Executive shall have an ordinary vote but may not exercise a vote as a member of the Executive AND as a delegate of a member.
Nominations close on 31 December 2013 the COO will copy such nominations and AGM agenda no later than 24 January 2014 to each Member Country.
