Robin Bryant awarded Life Membership
New Life Member of Badminton Oceania, Robin Bryant received the highest honour for the years of volunteering for Badminton in the region yesterday during the finals of the Yonex Australian Open.
Robin has been volunteering his time for Badminton for over 40 years at all levels of Badminton. From club to State Badminton in Canberra and Victoria and then Board Member of Badminton Australia. It didn't take too long before he took over the reigns of Badminton Australia as President where he remained for 8 years.
His passion then took him to the highest levels of the game as a Council Member and Vice President of Badminton World Federation at the same time as he became President of Badminton Oceania. His passion and enthusiasm for events saw Australia take on World events during his tenure and he lead Badminton Oceania through a huge change from a once volunteer organisation to the professional organisation that it is today. He lead the changes and a new organisation was born, he advanced the organisation into the 21st century with his vision and dedication.
Robin is now enjoying his retirement with his wife Ondra and his grandchildren in Australia.
Congratulations to Robin, our thanks to his wife Ondra and family for their support of Robin during those years.
