Badminton Oceania is pleased to announce the OCEANIA TOUR 2019

The OCEANIA TOUR 2019 is a new initiative linked to the Badminton Oceania Player Development programme which is supported by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

The aim of the OCEANIA TOUR 2019 is to both encourage players in the region to support Oceania events and to provide the highest performing players with some additional support to enable them to attend international events or training camps with the long term aim of representing their country at high level events like the BWF World Championships and Olympic Games.

Secretary General of Badminton Oceania, Julie Carrel, says:

"The introduction of the Oceania Tour 2019 is a great way to link our events in the region with our player development programme; being able to provide some additional support and opportunities to those players who consistently perform and are aiming to represent their country at the highest level.  We recognise that for players wanting to qualify for the top events there is a significant financial investment required; this initiative enables us to assist in a small way with these costs with the aim being to see more players from our region qualifying for these top events”.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
