Oceania Hockey Federation President Pam Elgar addressed the meeting to recognise Kaluwin's outstanding contribution to hockey in the Pacific region since 2011. Kaluwin has represented not just Papua New Guinea but been a voice on the Executive for the rest of the Pacific Islands ensuring that the Executive recognise the financial difficulties faced by these Federations in participating in more that one continental event per year.

A highlight for Kaluwin was the successful hosting of the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby. Kaluwin was appointed to the facilities committee for that event and was highly influential in ensuring that there was an artificial turfed hockey stadium left as a legacy for hockey after the event. It was fitting that the Youth Olympic Games Tournament was hosted at this stadium at the end of his service for OHF.

Papua New Guinea Hockey Federation has consistently attended all Oceania Cups since 2013 and Oceania Pacific Cup Tournaments held in Fiji since 2009. The teams certainly would not have been able to attend without the considerable input and sponsorship from Kaluwin.
