Jennie ran a technical workshop on the Tuesday morning before the start of the tournament and used the tournament as practical opportunities for all the participants to gain a variety of experiences in the different roles required at an international tournament.

The most pleasing outcome was that Samson Auga from the Solomon Islands who had never been to an Oceania event was appointed as the Technical Officer in the Gold Medal Men's game between Australia and Vanuatu. Brent Brown (Australia) as the senior Technical Officer also did a supporting role in giving confidence  to all officials on the bench. Caroline Kahai (PNG) built on her Oceania Cup experience and officiated as Technical Officer in the women's final.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
