Australian Sports Foundation on board

Willetton Basketball Association Inc (WBA)  is delighted to announce a new partnership in 2018 with the Australian Sports Foundation coming on board as the Fundraising Partner of the club.

The Australian Sports Foundation has worked with sporting organisations for close to 30 years helping raise money for Australian sport with over $350 million being raised over that period. The Australian Sports Foundation has unique Deductible Gift Recipient status ensuring that all donations of greater than $2 are tax deductible.

As WBA progresses swiftly towards making the dream of the four court expansion a reality, this was seen as a key advantage to help  ensure that all money raised by Willetton Basketball members, supporters and corporate partners is able to be tax deductible.

Key to the fundraising drive is the aim by WBA to raise $250,000 for the finishing aspects of the expansion, as well as our obligations to have a sinking fund to maintain the upgraded facility.

Board Chairman, Phil Nixon, said it was exciting to announce this partnership which will assist the club through what looms as an exciting, but challenging project.

“We see this partnership as a key pillar in being able to effectively fundraise for the club to ensure that we can maintain key infrastructure assets in our community for current and future generations,” Nixon said.  “Australian Sports Foundation have great experience and offer a unique partnership which will be the backbone of our fundraising for the expansion project through 2018.”

WBA invites its members, and the broader community, to become a part of this iconic project and donate now. Every dollar makes a difference. Donation Page:
