The Big Rig Easterlies continued for Belmont’s 4th Club Championship Heat.
Fire Stopping had Rohan back in the bow after some time off and they surged to lead early in the race.
The Young Guns on TJS then made their move and took the lead with them and Fire Stopping way out in front of the chasing pack.
Redicrete and Empty Jets both put together a fast last lap to finish strongly and overtake the Fire Truck on the last work, but the Young Guns held on to take the win.
The East Coast Low sailed well to finish inside the top ten despite the bowman breaking a trap hook and Minder recovered well after restarting due to being ocs.
Aristocrat had a great race taking out the handicap and also a 5th on scratch.
