Skiff Report | 24 October 2016
A fresh Southerly breeze for Belmont's race on Sunday and all the fleet were with small rigs.
Considering the strength of the breeze the racing was extremely close with "East Coast Marine & Sail", "OAS", "TJS", "Redicrete" & "ATB Morton" forming the leading pack. "OAS" was showing good speed but a swim saw them drop out of the leading bunch. "Compass Global Markets" made a good comeback to join the leading group while "East Coast Marine & Sail” shot to the lead. "East Coast" then had some spinnaker problems and with a work to the finish it was a race in 4 with "East Coast", "TJS" "Global" & "Redicrete" all very close and charging for the finish. The Young Guns on "TJS" grabbed the win in a close one. "East Coast Marine & Sail" were rewarded with their good performance with a handicap win.
