Harry On Track in Olympic 49er Campaign

We are very pleased to report that our very own 29er World Champion, Harry Morton, is making great progress in his transition into the Olympic 49er class.

He has recently taken his first steps into the Australian Sailing Squad being awarded a Youth Bridging Scholarship. This gives him access to the Australian Institute of Sport as well as all the Australian Sailing Programs. He received his Australian Sailing uniform and gear a couple of weeks ago.

Harry will be off to the 49...er Junior Worlds in Flensburg Germany in about 5 weeks time (23 - 27 August).

He's still got a bit of study to do to complete his HSC, but once this is finished his training and sailing program will increase dramatically in preparation for an extended European Regatta tour in 2016.

16ft Skiff "ATB Morton"'s skipper is very pleased that Harry's training program is going to pay dividends when he fills in on the skiff from time to time!

We know all of Harry's B16ftSC club mates wish him the very best with his campaign and we will keep you posted on his ongoing progress.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
