Queensland Youth Week

It might seem a bit cold for sailing down here . . . but some of our keen youth sailors dragged their parents up to RQYS for Queensland Youth Week which finished yesterday!

Our Flying 11's smashed the top half of the fleet with 1st to 4th places going to B16ftSC!  Also, the girls on Sudden Impact placed a creditable 11th in their first big away regatta. Great learning experience.
1st Hammertime - Tom D & Brin L
2nd 1392 - Thomas S & Aimee G
3rd Oscar - Jed F & William B
4th Spitfire - James R & Angus J
11th Sudden Impact - Sarah H & Jacinta A

In the 29er fleet, with current World Champion helm Kurt Hansen taking out 1st place, B16ftSC sailors posted some good racing results in a strong fleet:
6th NHS - Tom C & Tom G
11th Furry Tractor - Tom S & Henry S
14th Frontline - John C & Simon H
24th Looney Tunes - Emma J & Lucas G

We also had some B16ftSC sailors in the 420 class:
9th - Stephen Hancock
14th - Lauren Gallaway

Congratulations to all of our sailors - we hope you enjoyed your racing and had heaps of fun with your friends.
