"Sail On" launched for Summer 2015

A new initiative to encourage and assist our Learn to Sail participants transition into Club activity will be launched in January.

The "Sail On" program will see graduating learn to sail participants sail in the Club's training FEVA boats on a Saturday morning and join in the Pelican Recreation Squad program.

This will allow incoming families see what happens in club activities, develop some friendships and particularly allow the kids to hone their skills by learning to sail around a course.  It will be a purely participation based program.

The program will run from January 17th to March 28th (excluding the weekends of 24th Jan & 7th Feb) and include all the fun activities like our Pirate Fun Day, the Rathmines Picnic Race and our end of season Crazy Hat & Hair Day!

The cost will be $100 for the entire 9 week program, covering the cost of equipment hire and the provision of instructors to assist wtih rigging, training and general assistance.

To enrol, simply contact the Club's Front Desk.  Any questions or for further information, please contact our Sailing Coordinator Danny Anderson on 4945 0888.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
