Skiff Report | 18 February 2018
A fresh Nor’Easter for Belmont’s 16ft Skiff Fleet with all boats but Schweppes on small rig.
IGT was the first boat away with the handicap start and they sailed a great race to hold their lead till the finish. It was an improved performance from the IGT team handling the windy conditions very well. XXXX Gold put in a similar improved performance also dealing with the conditions well to finish near the front. Trevor had to find a replacement bowman with Steendog on F11 duties and Trev went for some serious horsepower adding big Nathan Quirk on the wire alongside big Showy. This swinging power had Hahn Super Dry flying and they grabbed a podium position as well. Young Gun, Jordan Makin had Luke “Boozey” Hughes out of retirement to join Shaun “Stifler” Moran on board and they also had an improved performance.
Greg Searant was guest skipper on East Coast Marine and they sailed a really quick race to take out fastest time.
