Four Way Tie For Hart Medal

In amazing scenes at Monday nights Phelan Medal evening, the Hart Medal for the best Under 19 Division Two player in the competition has ended in a four way tie.

Holroyd Parramatta’s Reece Morris & Mitchell Sapiatzer, Western Suburbs Tom Kannan and Moorebank’s Martin Faulkner all finished on 10 votes to be crowned joint winners of the medal.

Western Suburbs Aidan Bell finished on top of the leaderboard with 11 votes at the end of the regular season but was ineligible for the award after being suspended earlier in the year.

Three of the players polled in 4 games while Faulkner polled in 5 games. Faulkner, Morris and Sapiatzer were tied on 10 for the final three rounds while Western Suburbs premiership captain Kannan picked up 5 votes in the final three rounds to claim a share of the award.
