Coach Hockey Wins Armstrong Medal

Wollondilly playing coach, Daniel Hockey has led from the front all year and in doing so, has claimed the Division Four Armstrong Medal.

Hockey polled 24 votes throughout the year and finished 6 votes clear of runner up Luke Bodeker of Campbelltown with Hockey’s Wollondilly teammate Russell Andrews finishing on 16 votes.

Hockey started the year in fantastic fashion polling three votes in the opening round. He would also be given best on ground by the umpires in rounds 6, 8, 12 and 17. Hockey also polled 8 votes in the last 4 games of the season to cement the medal after leading from Round 12.

Hockey has had a great year kicking 23 goals and coaching his side to a grand final berth, only to be defeated by UTS on the day.
