Tie at top of Magic's count

The Inaugural Blacktown Magic Presentation Night was held last Saturday, at the Ettamogah Hotel in Rouse Hill. The event was run in support of the White Ribbon Foundation.

Bradley Whale and Luke Penrith (pictured) both tied for the first ‘Magicians Cup’ as Senior Club Best & Fairest. Andrew Middleton was named Runner Up.

It capped off a great debut season for the club, who lost the Division Three Grand Final to UTS. The club fielded 14 players with no previous Australian Rules experience, with the majority of award winners being first year players.

Whale also took out the Players Player Award. Other player awards went to Joshua Mann (Coaches Award), Matt Hinchcliffe (Most Improved), Daniel Clifford (Best 1st Year Player) and Patrick Barclay (Leading Goal Kicker).

Clifford also was awarded Club Person of the Year.

Coach Dean Connors and Captain Henry Button both spoke of the excitement building for next year, as the club looks to grow to two teams.
