Goodbye Peter and Barbara - Hello David and Barry

THE Football Hall of Fame WA has two new Committee members - David Mortimer and Barry Rogers.
Mortimer is a former highly-rated referee who officiated at the top level in WA and had three years in the National Soccer League, while Rogers is the ex-secretary of ECU Joondalup and has assisted Perth Glory in fund-raising ventures. He also coached in Queensland for a spell.
The infusion of 'new blood' was welcomed by Hall of Fame Chairman Louis Prospero, who added: "Both have strong links with the game in WA and will bring great knowledge and enthusiasm to the Committee."
They replace lond-standing Committee members Peter Dimopoulos and Barbara Gibson, who have stood down because of health issues.
"It's with great regret that we accept the resignation of Peter and Barbara," said Prospero.
"They have made a wonderful contribution to the game in general in WA for over 50 years - and been valuable members of the Hall of Fame Committee for many years."
Barbara Gibson was secretary of the old Soccer Federation of WA for a long period and was also heavily involved in the establishment of women's football in the State.
Peter Dimopoulos is a former coach and administrator of the women's game in WA. He was also president of the Professional Soccer League for a spell in the 1990s and has served on many committees through the years.
