Armadale United ran out 3-1 winners over Inglewood United in their PS4 National Premier Leagues WA fixture at Inglewood Stadium.

The visitors had the better of an end-to-end first half and took the lead when Jackson Bealey curled a delightful free kick around the wall.

Inglewood hit back through a solo-effort from Kenny Keogh, as the striker latched onto a long ball and deftly flicked past a defender before slotting past Luke Radonich.

But Armadale limited Inglewood from there with Jesse Fuller latching onto a long throw for the lead before Darren Kingston sealed the game with practically the last kick of the game.

Armadale coach Paul Price was pleased with the performance of his depleted side.

“I’m delighted for them,” he said.

“We were poor last week against ECU. We didn’t play well and I told the players to forget about the result and move onto this week.

“I made five positional changes and the players have put in a complete performance.”

Bealey’s early free kick gave Armadale a great platform to build upon and the midfield combination of Darren Francis, Fuller and Bealey were compact and nullified Inglewood.

A frustrated Inglewood was limited to long balls and Keogh displayed a moment of individual brilliance to equalise and open the game up.

Both sides created half chances before the break, but the best opportunity fell to Armadale wide man Faustino Machochi, when he latched onto a loose ball in the Inglewood penalty area and fired straight at the onrushing Aleks Vrteski.

But the Armadale faithful did not have to wait long to reclaim the lead as Fuller caught the Inglewood defence napping with a powerful header from a long throw.

Inglewood pushed forward but could not get past the Armadale defence with Alexander Castiello putting in a stand out performance, while the pace Machochi and Sam Cole caused problems on the counter.

As Inglewood pushed forward deep into stoppage time, Machochi intercepted an errant pass before finding Fuller, who had the presence of mind to set up Kingston to seal the win.
