2018 NPL season officially opens
The 2018 Capital Football National Premier Leagues season was opened on Thursday with the official launch at the National Arboretum.
The new season promises to be one of the most exciting yet for both Men’s and Women’s competitions, with a host of changes to playing and coaching staff ensuring a different shape to the leagues for 2018.
Capital Football CEO Phil Brown wished the best of luck to all teams competing in this year’s competitions, with club representatives on hand to answer questions ahead of their new season.
Junior Premier League matches will get underway from the 3rd of March as part of an extended season, aiming to expose Canberra’s best juniors to competition level football for a longer stretch of games.
The Women’s National Premier League Capital Football kicks off on Saturday 17th March with a monster Grand Final rematch between Belconnen United & Canberra FC, LIVE on BarTV Sports from McKellar Park.
The weekend after that the Men's National Premier League will get underway in Griffith, as Tuggeranong United travel to face the Riverina Rhinos. That night, we'll be LIVE from McKellar Park again, with BarTV Sports streaming a blockbuster clash between Belconnen United & Gungahlin United.
