Preview:

Adelaide Comets are hoping to end a three game losing streak as they travel to third place Adelaide Blue Eagles on Saturday in Round 19 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia.

Comets Sami Tesfagabr feels his side can come away with the win but knows it will not be a straight forward task.

“It’s not going to be an easy game because we’re playing against a top team but we are expecting to get the three points.”

The visitors have failed to pick up any points from their last three outings making them the underdogs this weekend.

Tesfagabr however distances such claims and remains optimistic over a good performance.

We’ve been preparing well for the past week so I’m feeling confident”

Blue Eagles defender Andrej Rastovac, feels that form has returned to the Marden based side in time for the weekends clash.

“The team is pretty relieved with the last game. We finally ended a bad streak so basically everything is back to normal.”

The left-back is less worried about the threat of the opposition and emphasised the importance of his team’s approach.

I’m more concerned about ourselves. We need to go in with the right attitude then there shouldn’t be a problem”

Tesfagabr hopes the new coaching staff’s tactics will be enough to undo the Blue Eagles side.

“This weekend the formation and type of game we will play is a bit different and hopefully it will work out.”

He feels the squad now have a new outlook on the game and have put past results behind them.

“Mentally with the players it’s refreshed now because of the new coach and everything is good now.”

Rastovac says playing at home hasn’t really allowed them to settle into games as quickly as they wanted but feels it could be different this time out.

“It hasn’t worked for the last two games but I think if we play from the first minute it will help us go for the win.”

He is also anticipating a tough encounter and knows Comets will put up a fight.

“I’m expecting a hard game. I know they like to play with the ball so we have to be better in every part of the game.”
