Western Toros SC are pleased to announced that they have secured the use of Rushworth Reserve to compliment its Pennington base of operations for the 2014 Season.

Sporting Director Nenad Tadic believes it is a good move.

“Having the Rushworth and Pennington fields has placed the Western Toros in a good position for the infrastructure required to become a Premier League Club.”

Having two main pitches one with permanent fencing and the second with temporary fencing means that games can be hosted at either venue to ensure an excellent pitch is available throughout the season for Senior games. The addition of another pitch at Pennington has added more flexibility for training pre-season and once certified will provide the versatility to host more teams within the club.

Western Toros Soccer Club kicked off the 2014 NPL State League Season with an inspired win against a persistent Northern Demons team on Saturday. Toros Captain David Paladino lead the team through a series of hard fought contests with Toros comfortably securing the win.

Seniors Coach Robbie Ditroia was happy with the opening performance, but believes that more can come from the team with the main aim to establish his squad in the top four of the competition with the aiming of gaining promotion in 2014.

Western Toros Soccer Club Junior Teams are also starting to build with a coaching panel Headed up by Amedeo Mazzini Coaching the U16s and supported by Robbie Ditroia (Seniors Coach) and the Senior Coaching Panel.

There are limited positions available in the U13 and U16 Teams and the club will be starting to seek expressions of interest for coaches in 2015 to support an expanded Junior program which will include the Toros Soccer Academy.
