FFSA Head Referee Coach appointed to UEFA Under 19 Finals

Football Federation SA (FFSA) Head Referee Coach Craig Zetter has been appointed as a Referee Assessor to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Under-19 Championship Finals in Greece this month.

Craig was selected by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to attend the tournament as part of a development exchange partnership between AFC and UEFA.  This coincides with Zetter’s appointment earlier this year by FIFA to the International Referee Assessor List, and by AFC to the Confederation’s Referee Instructor and Assessor List.

A former FIFA and Hyundai A-League Referee, Zetter is looking forward to the tournament.

“I’m excited to be attending the UEFA Under-19 Championships.  It will be a great opportunity to work with some of the best match officials and instructors in Europe and the world.

“The experience and knowledge that I will gain from this appointment will be used in the development of local match officials in South Australia, which will benefit the local game greatly.”

Craig will attend the UEFA Under-19 Championships Finals from 2nd July until 8th July.

FFSA renewed Zetter’s contract as FFSA Head Referee Coach earlier this year which see him continue in the role he has held since 2011, until February 2016.
