Cumberland United Football Club is proud to announce the appointment of Billy Graves as Senior Coach for the 2015 Season.

Tom Schoen, President of Cumberland United said, “Billy took over as interim Senior Coach at a difficult time this year and had the enormous task of reinvigorating the players and restoring self confidence back into the playing group which he achieved admirably. Our players certainly responded producing some exciting football in a cohesive and unified manner consistent with the clubs expectations.

“Billy’s appointment for the 2015 season combines many key factors for the club comprising leadership & culture, his knowledge of the game, calm nature, clear communication and personal qualities all have been highly regarded and we believe that these attributes will facilitate the continual development and improvement of our senior playing group.”

On the appointment, Billy Graves said, “It's an honour to be asked to coach at a club with such a proud history like Cumberland United, and I'm really looking forward to working with the players with a pre season schedule that truly reflects my coaching philosophies and style of play. We have some great youngsters at the club, and I'd like to match them with some seasoned campaigners who can support their development on the pitch.

“My goal is to see us go straight back into the Premier League via automatic promotion, but we also won't make the mistake of resting on the laurels of our end of season form or underestimating the task ahead in what will be a very competitive league.

“I'd like to thank the committee and all the people involved in Cumberland United for their ongoing support last season."
