FFV statement regarding GVS v RSC

Football Federation Victoria [FFV] has noted the referee officiating the PlayStation 4 NPL 1 East match between Goulburn Valley Suns v Richmond SC made an error in not expelling Andrew Goff from the field of play after issuing two yellow cards.

Goff will be suspended for Richmond's Round 3 match in the PS4 NPL 1 East on March 6 against Nunawading City, as the club's game in Round 2 has been postponed until May.

FFV referees manager Luke Brennan said he has consulted with the referee involved in the incident, and the referee has admitted his mistake.

"The referee involved has acknowledged his error and is regretful in not sending Goff from the field," he said.

"The matter has since been dealt with internally."
