FFV finalises NPL licences, structure

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) today announces the final National Premier Leagues (NPL) 2014 senior and junior structures following confirmation of signed licence agreements on Wednesday 19 February.

The senior men and under 20 competitions will consist of NPL (14 teams) and NPL 1 (14 teams). The junior structure will comprise 14 teams in the both the east and west conferences. Eastern Jets and Border FC will start their season in 2015. Eastern Lions and Surf Coast have decided not to accept the offer of an NPL licence.

The final senior men and under 20 competitions will comprise the following:

NPL: Ballarat Red Devils, Bentleigh Greens, Dandenong Thunder, Goulburn Valley Suns, Green Gully Cavaliers, Heidelberg United, Hume City, Melbourne Knights, Northcote City, Oakleigh Cannons, Pascoe Vale, Port Melbourne Sharks, South Melbourne and Werribee City.

NPL 1: Avondale Heights, Bendigo Amateur Soccer League, Box Hill United, Brunswick city, Dandenong City, FC Bulleen Lions, Kingston City, Moreland Zebras, North Geelong Warriors, Richmond, Springvale White Eagles, St Albans Saints, Sunshine George Cross and Whittlesea Ranges.

The final junior structure will be split geographically into two conferences:

  • Bentleigh Greens, Box Hill United, Dandenong City, Dandenong Thunder, FC Bulleen Lions, Goulburn Valley Suns, Heidelberg United, Kingston City, Northcote City, Oakleigh Cannons, Port Melbourne Sharks, Richmond, South Melbourne and Springvale White Eagles.
  • Avondale Heights, Ballarat Red Devils, Bendigo Amateur Soccer League, Brunswick City, Green Gully Cavaliers, Hume City, Melbourne Knights, Moreland Zebras, North Geelong Warriors, Pascoe Vale, St Albans Saints, Sunshine George Cross, Werribee City and Whittlesea Ranges

FFV will release the NPL fixtures on Wednesday, February 26 . NPL Rules of Competition will be announced on Tuesday, March 4.
