The series will be sailed in the "pond" or the area between the marina and the hardstand. All racing will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020 of World sailing as amended by Appendix E (Radio Sailing Racing Rules), the Prescriptions of Australian Sailing (AS) and The DragonForce 65 Restricted Class Rules, so this is a great opportunity to practice your sailing while staying firmly on land.

Here’s some background to consider. Please contact the Office if you are interested in participating or wanting more information. We hope to see you there as a participant or as a spectator
Model yachts have been around forever. But with the interest in packaged radio-controlled products recently coming on the market it makes them more affordable. For instance, the Dragon Force 65 or DF65 as it is known, which is gaining traction with clubs around Australia and has its own class association, can cost as little as $165. All models come complete with transmitter and ready to assemble – just add AA batteries – and launch into the pond of your preference. Of course, there is always room for tweaking.
