Into the night

by Richard

Into the night

Recently I sail with Adam up to port steven’s. It was my first sail into the darkness.

Its was  one giant sail for a small man

Planning our hours

Two on two off

Among the flapping of sail

Wind close on the stern

30 degree was her pleasure

26 was our want

Descending on into and beyond twilight

Accompanied by the rhythm of

Chattering Rigging

The flapping of sail

Wind close on stern

And rantings of decking

Under strain

Pushing down on Pandora’s lid

With every rive of deck

And flap of sail

We entered the dark darkness

Where splashes of white could be seen and heard

With wind close on the stern

And all senses feeling their way

On and on into the unknown darkness

Yacht pitching and twisting

On her 30 Degrees

26 wanted

Out to sea we go

Virgin clings

Yet shedding the past

For a coming of light

Penetrates from below

As the bow pushes

And hull descended on into

The wet abyss

They forged a light swell of light

A path out and into the knew found cosmos

By means of sporning a phosphorescent light

Then fireworks

Darting Phosphorescent parallel lines

Blasting out of the blackness

Weaving lines this way and that

Beckoning one on and on

A conformation by dolphins

Who lead us into the new world.
