In September, 7 Bendigo boats travelled to Tin Can Bay in Queensland to cruise to Wathumba Creek on Fraser Island. This magical part of the world offers white sands, turquoise blue waters, brilliant sunsets, wildlife and whales. We experienced all of these things and a variety of weather. At times during the cruise we sailed with a good stiff breeze and at others we had the wind right on the nose. On the trip home we encountered almost gale force winds and very rough conditions.. The highlight of the cruise was, of course, the whales. These awesome creatures certainly performed for us launching their huge bodies out of the water and coming down with an enormous crash. They were all around us and their acrobatics were quite spectacular. Some great photos were taken throughout the nine days of the cruise and the memories made will last a lifetime.
