Membership Fees now payable

A reminder to all members that membership fees are now payable from 1 July 2015.

As per the Annual General Meeting, there has been a slight rise to cover a shortfall in our obligations to Yachting Queensland and Yachting Australia. These fees are necessary to enable us to remain affiliated and to utilise their facilities including use of the Racing Rules of Sailing, insurance coverage while on the water, training, coaching and other aspects of the sport.

Fees can be paid directly into the MYC account as detailed under membership in the website menu. In addition, membership application forms have been updated to reflect the new rates.

Family Membership - $285.00

Full Sailing Membership - $160.00

Full (non sailing) Membership - $60.00

Youth Membership - $80.00

SOCIAL SAILING

Social sailing is an activity that the club runs on some Saturdays throughout the year. This is something the anyone can participate in.

We meet at the marina at 12 noon and are usually back in by 4. So if you want to join us contact Bob on 4956 2618 or mazandbob01@bigpond.com and reserve a spot.

You don’t even have to have been out on the water on any sort of boat. You will now have the chance to go for a quiet sail on a yacht to get an idea of what sailing is all about. You will be taken out with an experienced skipper and crew and you will get a chance to try steering the vessel and trimming the sails. Or you can just sit back and relax.
